LIFESTYLE
Diet:
Water angels are largely omnivorous, eating mainly fish, algae and seaweed however if anything bigger gets entangled in their sting arms they won't hesitate to eat it either. As they are rather slow, they tend not to hunt at all, merely waiting for the food to come to them.

Angelums live in colonies up to 100 individuals (50 on average), circulating between shallow waters during the mating season and the deep vast ocean for the rest of the year. The monstrous sizes of the herds Usually scare of other species, but the docile and slow nature of the creature allowed some certain species to travel among them for protection from large predators. In one group usually the ratio is 50% children 25% adult females and 25% adult males.
Mating style:
Water angels pretty much mate for life. They form bonds during their first 10 years of life, choosing the final partner right after that mark. The partners are chosen on individual appeal to pheromones excreted during the mating season. Usually breeding no more than two children (if more is born they grow smaller and weaker and their tamability is increased by one star) the parents take good care of the young ones for the first year or so, giving up most of their food. After a year, the children become semi-independent, only seeking help from adults in case of danger.
Environment:
Deep see waters for 9 months of the year, shallower close to shore waters during 3month mating season.
BEHAVIOURS
Angelum Aquarum tend to be very docile and approachable. They might not show many emotions, but are deeply loyal to their family members and friends among it's specie, and if tamed would also be very protective toward it's tamer. Living in large groups, the monster becomes weaker when alone showing the equivalent of depression and loneliness. To show it's moods it uses the 4 tentacle like arms waving them in specific ways to show eg. irritation or happiness. Young ones especially adapted a form of dance to express joy and as they stings hurt less, can be often found trying to play with other animals if they are present.
For most part they don't notice small animals/creatures unless touched by them, due to their sizes.

Healing ability, used mainly on their young. With the non stingy arms their insert whatever they desire to heal into their translucent Bell, and creating a series of melodic sounds ake care of the wounds/illness. Depending on the type of injury/illness the time the ability takes might change.
Starbound:
With the same poison that is hidden in their sting arms, the Angelums attack by creating a wave of hallucinogenic pheromones that paralyze the enemy as well as affect all of it's senses, especially vision (Name comes from the fact that most common vision involves the target to hallucinate falling from the sky)

Easily mistaken for the common drink as the smell and consistency is the same as one of milk only difference being it's pinkish colour, it's a liquid found inside of the Angelums bell. Can be used as healing potions ingredient or if all salt is removed it can be drunk as a cough/common cold medicine.
